The SN8700B Director platform is engineered for continuous availability with fully redundant, hot-swappable components. The R6B01A blade can be replaced or added without powering down the chassis or disrupting network traffic. HPE provides investment protection by allowing upgrades from Gen6 SN8600B to Gen7 SN8700B Directors via core blade upgrades.
