The JL259A HPE Aruba Networking 2930F 24G 4SFP Switch is a high-performance, Layer 3 access switch designed for enterprise branch offices and SMB networks that require robust Gigabit connectivity without the need for Power over Ethernet (PoE). As part of the "Fixed" (F) series of the Aruba 2930 portfolio, the JL259A is built for reliability, ease of deployment, and simplified management. It is an ideal solution for connecting high-speed workstations, printers, and other wired peripherals that have their own power sources.

The JL259A provides 24 autosensing 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, offering full line-rate Gigabit performance for every connected device. To ensure seamless integration into the larger network backbone, the switch features four built-in 1GbE SFP uplink ports. These dedicated fiber slots allow for long-distance connectivity to the core switch or distribution layer using various SFP transceivers, ensuring that the local network edge remains high-performing and free of data congestion.

Despite its streamlined design, the JL259A includes a comprehensive Layer 3 feature set. It supports static, RIP, and OSPF routing, as well as robust IPv6 capabilities, allowing for efficient traffic management and segmentation at the network edge. Security is a core component of the 2930F architecture; the switch integrates with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager for unified, identity-based policy enforcement. The JL259A is engineered for operational simplicity. It supports Virtual Switching Framework (VSF), which enables up to eight 2930F switches to be stacked together and managed as a single logical entity via the standard SFP ports.
