The QU626A HPE StoreEver MSL6480 Scalable Expansion Module is the core growth component for the MSL6480 tape library ecosystem. This 6U rack-mount module is designed to connect directly to an existing MSL6480 Base Module (QU625A) to increase storage density and performance. By adding expansion modules, a single library can scale from an initial 80 slots to a massive 560-slot enterprise-class system.

Each QU626A module provides an additional 80 cartridge slots and supports up to 6 additional half-height LTO tape drives. This "pay-as-you-grow" architecture allows organizations to expand their archival capacity seamlessly without having to replace their existing library controller or management software.

• Massive Expansion: Up to six QU626A expansion modules can be added to a single QU625A base module, creating a unified logical library that spans 42U of rack space.
